Affiliate Marketing: POF + Peerfly – Profits Are Starting

As you may have noticed in my last post I have recently started down  the path of Affiliate Marketing. My first attempt at Affiliate Marketing that lasted about a week was driving traffic directly from 7search (Pay Per Click Traffic) to a Peerfly offer. After testing slowly for a week I finally found a way to start generating some revenue.  Overall I lost around $12 but I did get my feet wet in affiliate marketing and did make some conversions. It got me excited and moving in the right direction. My second attempt at affiliate marketing is now with POF (PlentyOfFish dating website – Banner Display Traffic) and directly linking it to a dating offer on Peerfly. The reason why I moved right away to a new traffic source was because I liked how POF gave me the ability to test multiple ads and target a very specific group of people.   I like to have the ability to tweak my campaigns slightly and see how that affects the campaigns.  Also the second reason why I moved to POF traffic was because of the ability to scale my campaigns. There is a ton more traffic available with POF and its better quality traffic in my opinion. With the ability to scale my campaigns I can slowly tweak until I find a campaign that is profitable and then slowly try to increase the budget while increasing the conversions.  So far it has started slow but I’ve already made my first conversion! Really excited to see that with 1 click I got 1 conversion. Talk about a great conversion rate! Obviously this won’t last but in the meanwhile I am researching and learning more about what converts on POF. POF traffic is a lot different than 7search traffic in that I am doing Display Banners instead of Pay Per Click.  I am creating multiple versions of banners with variations in messaging, color, and images.  My main target at the moment is males so I am doing more images of women in my ads as I believe those will convert better.  I am now also working on new angles such as women that are busty, women with glasses, and unprofessional photos.  All of these different types of images will affect my conversion. Therefore I’ll find a winning banner and then narrow down my target in POF and find a profitable area hopefully. I really hope you find a profitable affiliate marketing campaign as well.
